Street Trash Soundtrack Coming Soon

Great news! ten Athlone have had two songs selected to feature in the new Ryan Kruger Thing, Street Trash.

The two tracks, namely ‘Street Trash’, and ‘New Day’, will feature as end credit music.

ten Athlone will release ‘Street Trash’ as a single, followed by a 5-track EP closer to the release of the film.

“Both tracks were written with that cheesy 80’s comedy film style in mind.” says Joe Vaz, the lead singer and songwriter for ten Athlone, who also happens to have a starring role in the film, (that’s him on the cover above looking the worse for wear).

“I wanted to nail that 80’s end-credits song feel – think Mannequin, Weird Science, Pretty in Pink and so on. Those songs nailed the feel of the films and created indelible memories that forever tied the movies to the songs. That’s what I was hoping for.”

According to Rue Morgue…

[The film is] Directed and co-written by Ryan Kruger of the festival fave FRIED BARRY, and shot on glorious 35mm film, the new STREET TRASH is produced by Martell and Matt Manjourides… Kruger says, “Our version of STREET TRASH will be raw, hilarious, packed with vibrant characters and multicolored explosions of gooey greatness.”
